On May 28, Andrew Steer took part in a meeting of the Executive Committee of the U.N.’s Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) . Andrew and other committee members discussed working plans to achieve three key objectives by 2030: ensure universal access to modern energy services, double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency, and double the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.
Last week, Andrew Steer presented on climate investment and forests at a global investor conference in Singapore and met with the organizers of theWorld Cities Summit, the world’s leading urban development conference. Afterward Andrew visited WRI’s office in Indonesia and met with the Minister of National Development Planning, the Minister of Forestry, and others.
