The Networker
August 30, 2012
25 years ago, during the month of August, over 70 entrepreneurs, investors and thought leaders gathered at Gold Lake Ranch in Colorado for the first SVN gathering. Inspired by Robert Reich’s Tales of a New America, SVN founders Josh Mailman and Wayne Silby launched a radically different network of entrepreneurs dedicated to using the power of business to effect positive social change.
Now, from Badass Gatherings at Back To The Roots, to TEDx, to SVN’s Hall of Fame Celebration, and 25-year Anniversary Fall Conference, SVN and its members continue to lead the way in connecting, supporting and inspiring the pioneers of socially responsible business.
We’re kicking off September by co-hosting TEDxPresidio at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, CA. We hope to see you there or at our anniversary events in New York this November.
All the best,
Deb Nelson

SVN Member Collaboration Story
SVN members Scott Leonard, CEO of INDIGENOUS Organic + Fair Trade Fashion, and Mark Marosits, Co-Founder of Worldways Social Marketing, were traveling in Peru to document the powerful impact that INDIGENOUS has made through over 17 years of building a fair trade fashion supply chain. They gathered at a school in the highlands of Peru, with the children and the One World Futbols donated by co-founders of INDIGENOUS, Scott Leonard & Matt Reynolds. SVN Member Mal Warwick is a partner at One World Futbol Project.
This is SVN collaboration leading the way … all the way to the Peruvian High Andes. You never know where your SVN connections will take you and your business. Find your group here.
