Major Pension Funds come together to apply <IR>

A new <IR> Pension Fund network has launched this month with the purpose of supporting its participants in producing integrated reports.

The network met in Australia with the following superannuation funds: AustralianSuper, CareSuper, Construction and Building Unions Super, Retirement Benefits Fund and VicSuper.

An <IR> Roundtable in New York has built on our current understanding of how <IR> is being adopted in the US. Senior representatives from businesses and investors in the US market divulged their approaches and advice for the journey towards <IR>.

Australia: “Integrated Reporting will become increasingly necessary”

These were the words of Mel Ashton, President, Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) in his foreword to their latest publication on <IR>. He wrote, “Organisations taking this approach are reporting considerable benefits and stakeholders are better able to evaluate an entity’s performance over a longer time by having access to the bigger picture. Integrated reporting will become increasingly necessary as a broader variety of stakeholders demand greater transparency and accessibility.”
