Honeybee Capital – Rocky Issue
by Katherine Collins, Ethical Markets Advisory Board member and Principal of Honeybee Capital
This issue of the Honeybee Capital Newsletter begins an examination of resilience, of bouncing back. Why? Well, for one thing, we will all be squashed by circumstance at some point. And given that, it is surprising how little work there is on resilience – it is a tiny volume, especially when compared with the time spent trying to make systems (or people) unbreakable to begin with. Consider steel – very strong, but once it’s cut, or broken, there is no mending it – not without going all the way back to the beginning. There are times when you need that initial strength and times when you need more flexibility – true for buildings and markets and people.
