How much do you really know about Green IT? Do you know, for example, what percent of server reduction an enterprise can expect to gain from virtualization? How about which devices have the overall highest power consumption: storage devices, high-end servers, mid-range servers, or networking equipment? If you increase the temperature of your data center, how much on average will you reduce your energy consumption? How much paper, on average, does an office worker use every year?
Here’s your chance to find out all that and more, and to test your knowledge of Green IT and green computing. In my blog, “Think You Know Green IT? Take This Pop Quiz and Find Out,” I’ve put together a ten-question test, so you can see whether you’re a rank novice or a true Green IT maven. Answer most of the questions right, and it’s time to ask your boss for a raise.
