Can Chemical-Free Agriculture Save the Planet?
No group has more on the line at the COP-18 climate summit than the world’s farmers. With crop yields increasingly hurt by severe droughts, desertification and other weather-related events, farmers are turning to agrochemicals to offset the loss. While that may be good for agribusinesses, argues Chandran Nair, it is ruinous for farmers — and for the health of the planet.
