38th Annual Conference on Serving the Underserved
June 13-16, 2012 | Atlanta, Georgia
Atlanta Conference to Highlight Cooperative Finance
New Keynote Speakers Confirmed!
The Federation has fully embraced the United Nations’ declaration of 2012 as the International Year of Cooperatives, which recognizes the contributions of cooperative enterprises worldwide, including credit unions!
We have planned events throughout the year to show the impact of cooperatives in building strong and sustainable communities, and our Annual Conference will be among the highlights!
Credit unions are cornerstones of the cooperative movement and the financial industries, and now more than ever, they have become the economic focal point of the communities they serve.
Our conference will feature presentations by top-level federal officials, innovative credit unions, and researchers, and will highlight best practices from CDCUs and CDFIs nationwide. Join us and learn how to effectively reach deeper into LMI communities within your field of membership!
Plan to arrive early for our Pre-conference workshops on Wednesday, June 13 and the morning of Thursday, June 14. These include a Credit Union Organizing Symposium; an NCUA training for credit union board of directors; a mortgage lending workshop; a CDFI certification, application and compliance Training; and of course our tour of the city and site visits to local community development credit unions.
